Read about Annette's Case
Our patient shared her unhappiness with the look of her front teeth and was looking for solutions. Annette felt like she had "horse looking teeth" and they were "un-natural looking." Her previous dentist placed porcelain veneers quite a while ago that felt “really thick” and had no "anatomical life" to them. Beyond the appearance, her old veneers were starting to leak and fail such that they required intervention. As we talked about the issues we found with the integrity of the restorations and her dislike of the appearance, we decided to study what was possible. Digital case planning was used to achieve both an esthetic enhancement and restorative stability within her smile. Five porcelain crowns and several composite resins on one canine tooth were planned to get her the smile she wanted. Dr. Aaron customized her new restorations to match the teeth in her smile that were not going to be restored in order to be minimally invasive yet consistent throughout. Careful consideration of Annette’s desires and needs for her smile, combined with the advanced technology and techniques we offer, allowed for a tremendous transformation which Annette fell in love with!
Read about Bonnie's Case
Bonnie has had mis-matched and discolored restorations for many years and was ready to invest in her smile. She had a combination of old composite fillings, composite veneers and porcelain-fused-to-metal crowns. There were two teeth that had undergone root canal therapy with metal posts on her right side which left the tooth structure under the restorations on the right side very dark. So, not only were the restorations mis-matched, the tooth structure that Dr. Aaron had to cover with new restorations did not share the same shade or brightness as the two on the left side. After careful evaluation and digitally designed case planning, we agreed on a plan for custom whitening followed by 4 porcelain crowns. Dr. Aaron used the entire array of his extensive training in CEREC in-office technology and porcelain customization to complete this challenging case and reclaim her smile. Bonnie, who was a dental assistant before retirement, was ecstatic with the results! Now she was able to spread her zest for life with a smile she could no longer hold back! Thanks for the challenge and your confidence that we could get it right!
Read about Bill's Case
Bill started his smile journey with us in order to fix the multiple chipped teeth that had made him fear when something else was going to break. A comprehensive approach was taken to understand why he had so much damage to his smile. After a study of his bite and the esthetic needs, we determined the solution to his condition would involve orthodontic care and several porcelain crown restorations. This plan would give Bill the best of both worlds; a stable bite for long term success of any restorative work, as well as an eye-catching smile that would improve his social confidence. The team approach with the orthodontist and our office helped establish a functionally correct and esthetically pleasing result for Bill. Dr. Aaron designed, milled and characterized the porcelain crowns with CEREC in-office technology. Once we delivered his case, Bill was ready to hit the town with energy and confidence!

The central incisors were restored with all-porcelain crowns. Older style white composite fillings tend to be more porous and are able to become stained over time. These fillings that had been placed many years ago were discolored, bulky and rough. All-porcelain crowns allow light to pass through the tooth just like in the enamel and dentin of a natural tooth. The result is a very lifelike restoration! This photo was taken after the custom at-home whitening treatment was complete. Her teeth used to be as dark as the old filling material. The whitening treatment really brightened her smile and now the new porcelain crowns blend right into her bright smile. Thanks to our patient for trusting us with her smile!
Read about Don's Case
This was a single visit case that was completed for a very kind man who was wanting a consistent smile that he could be proud of. Dr. Aaron completed a digital diagnostic evaluation prior to starting Don's treatment to make sure all of the kinks were worked out in his bite and that the contour of the teeth would match his facial form. In one visit, Dr. Aaron prepared the teeth for the new porcelain crowns, used CEREC in-office technology to design and mill the crowns, customize the porcelains and deliver them later in the same appointment. The result was a smile that was consistent with his other teeth and achieved the goals the patient had voiced. We are pleased that Don is so happy with his kind smile!

Bonnie had a peg shaped lateral incisor which was treated with a provisional crown when she was in her teens. Almost 8 years later the crown is getting discolored and is wearing down. The shape and darkened appearance was dissimilar enough that it stood out in her smile. A new CEREC Same-Day porcelain crown was prepared and customized by Dr. Aaron to be more harmonious with the surface texture and enamel characteristics of the other teeth in her smile using various stains and glazes! Immediately after cementing the crown, this was the result! Her goals were to be able to smile fully again with minimally invasive dentistry. As you can see with her big beaming smile, she feels we have achieved her goals beautifully! Thanks for allowing us to help you, Bonnie!
Read about Sonny's Case
It had been 10 years since Sonny had been to a dentist. He arrived worried about the lower 4 teeth and wanted to “get them capped”. After a thorough evaluation of his bite and the existing restorations we found that to restore his lower teeth properly, several upper teeth would need to be involved in the restorative plan as well. Creatively, we came up with a plan that would accomplish his goals, blend in with the surrounding older restorations, and involve as few teeth as possible. With CEREC in-office milling and characterizing by Dr. Aaron, he delivered the 3 upper and 3 lower porcelain crowns, placed a few composite fillings and provided protective device to wear at night. Together, we achieved the right care for Sonny's dental health as well as his budget!

Before treatment, this patient had old Porcelain-Fused-to-Metal crowns and some old fillings which were discolored. Composite fillings were done on the two lateral incisor teeth to replace the old discolored fillings. The filling material shade blended nicely with the surrounding tooth structure. This new smile was made possible by using some of the best materials dentistry has to offer. With the crowns in place and the new fillings the patient was happy with the results! Thanks to our wonderful patient for trusting us with her new smile!
Read about Sherri's Case
Our patient, Sherri, had crowns placed years ago from a childhood accident that damaged her front teeth. The old crowns were dull and lifeless and the dark edges by the gum line were becoming visible. She was not happy with the appearance of the old crowns. The gum tissues weren't happy with the old crowns either. Dr. Aaron reshaped the lateral incisors to blend more seamlessly with the new smile line we wanted to create before building the new crowns. Now, with the Sherri’s case completed, even the gum tissues are appearing happier! With custom professional whitening, new crowns on the two central incisors and reshaping of the incisal edge of the lateral incisors, a uniform smile line was created! Johnson Dental is always so honored to help patients achieve the smile of their dreams!
