Dental Assistants

Darla Hammel

Darla earned her Associates Degree of Applied Science in Dental Assisting from Rochester Community and Technical College. She regularly takes continuing education to add to her training. Her certifications and trainings include:

  • Certified Dental Assistant
  • Licensed Dental Assistant
  • Gingival retraction cord placement

Darla is known around the Johnson Dental office as "Ms. Organizer". This along wither her upbeat personality and wonderful smile, make her the ultimate team player. In her free time, Darla enjoys camping, riding Harley Davidson motorcycles, boating, snowmobiling, planning parties and outings and spending time with family, friends, and her boyfriend. Some of her favorite activities are attending her son Carson's (12) sporting events, and shopping with her daughter, Hailee (15). In addition to her 2 children, Darla also has 2 fur babies, a nine-year-old chocolate lab, Lillie, and a five-year-old cat, Kiki. A little known fact about Darla: She is a ROCK STAR wedding planner and once planned an entire wedding in 10 days!

Casey Orndorff

Casey graduated from Dakota County Technical College and is one of the newer members of the Johnson Dental Assistant team. When she's not at the office, she enjoys riding her horse on both trail rides and barrel racing. She also likes spending time with family and her boyfriend of nine years. An avid animal lover, she also has two cats.

Jen Ludwig

Jen is the most recent addition to the Johnson Dental Assistant team. She earned her Associates of Applied Science degree in Dental Assisting from Dakota County Technical College. She regularly attends continuing education courses to stay up-to-date. Her certifications and trainings include:

  • Certified Dental Assistant
  • Licensed Dental Assistant
  • Dental Anesthesia

Away from the office, Jen enjoys do-it-yourself home projects, baking, and playing sand volleyball in the summer. She and her husband, Brennan, have no children, but they do have two "fur babies" – Henry and Charlotte.
